Welcome to Thomson Falls Sport Camp & Hostel! We are a budget facility for those seeking cool and adventorous environment in Central Kenya An ideal Homesatys away from home whilst enjoying the local culture including local foods..In the evenings bonfires in the bush for you as you watch the stars.A bar is available, Meals provided on orderAccomondation Provided in en suite African shaped cottages ( hot water), Double decker london bus dormitory and vast camping area.Activities include log climbing, trekking to see birds and Hippos in Lake Ol bolossat,cycling, horse riding,jogging on an adjacent 4 KM track, tree planting to support environmental conservation,or just resting on hammocks.We have a Mini Rope course for small groupsin need of enjoying teambuilding activities.Attractions near our camp The Famous Thomson Falls, Lake Ol bolossat which face the scenic attractions of the aberdares, Subukia Escarpment and visits to flower farms(with arrangements)We are an overnight stopover point for travellers from Nakuru and Gilgil routes to Aberdares Mountains,Mt Kenya, Nanyuki and Samburu areas.Your Host: Joseph Mbugua - 2005 Eco Warrior Award Winner.

How to get there - Thomson Falls Sport Camp & Hostel Campsite

You can reach us by road.From Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya, local Matatu vehicles are operated from 6.00am to 6.00pm by Nuclear Investment Services situated at NYAMAKIMA passenger picking point,.drive past Naivasha and branch off at Gilgil township and join Nyahururu Road. Pass Ol Kalou and Ol Joro Orok towns to see our sign post after 5 KM opposite Nyandarua Institute of Science and Technology (CDF Project). Drive/Walk 1.5KM from main road along electricity cables past Ole Mutia stream to reach our camp.If coming from Nyahururu town, pick a taxi outside Baron Hotel.Our camp is just 6km from Nyahururu town on Gilgil road.
