Xofa Eco-Village is a lush paradise and unique hideout nestled between the clear shores of Lake Volta and the mountains of the Volta Region. We have created an ecologically friendly and bio-diverse preserve for tree, birds, butterflies, animals and humans.Our mosquito-safe cottages are made of stone, mud and thatch and are surrounded by colourful flowers, birds and butterflies. The swimming in this part of Lake Volta is safe and absolutely delightful. We can also arrange boat trips to Dodi Island and the surrounding areas. There are hiking opportunities, as well as hammocks and cool breezes to relax in. We offer single and double rooms. There is no electricity on our remote site, but we offer lanterns in the evening. Bring your own towel and a flashlight. This is an experience you will never forget!

How to get there - Xofa Eco-Village GuesthouseGeneral area: Ho, Volta Region Public transport (3- 4 hours from Accra or 1 hour from Ho)At Aflao Station (behind Fire Service) in central Accra, or the Zongo Junction Station in Madin, take the Asikuma tro-tro, or ask for any tro-tro that will drop you at Asikuma Junction (Volta Region). You can also take any tro-tro that will drop you at Anum. If you are coming from Ho, just get a tro-tro to Asikuma Junction. At Asikuma Junction or at Anum, take a 'dropping' taxi to Dodi Asantekrom (40,000 cedis), near Boso and tell the driver you are going to XOFA Eco-Village (pronounced "HOFA"). Follow the signs to XOFA Eco-Village, turn left at Boso and descend the mountain. Drive carefully, and continue for about 1 km until you reach a small yellow sign and a dirt road that veers off to the right (it's the only one that exists- if you reach Dodi Asantekrom village at the bottom, you've passed the turn off.) Turn right on this dirt road (it is quite rough) and continue for about 1 km, make your third left, where you will see another yellow sign and park at XOFA Eco-Village. |
